Portland Bulk Terminals, L.L.C. (PBT) is a wholly owned indirect subsidiary of Canpotex Limited (Canpotex), and is located at Portland, Oregon. PBT is operated by SSA Marine, Inc. and managed by Canpotex. Operating since 1997, this terminal is a potash bulk-handling facility located on the Columbia River system in Portland, Oregon.

The facility occupies 100 acres of land leased from the Port of Portland, and includes rail facilities, a storage shed and a concrete berth on the Willamette River. A delivery system is able to load potash from the storage shed or directly from railcars onto vessels waiting at the berth. The system can handle 6,000 metric tons of potash per hour, and the berth can handle a vessel of up to 55,000 metric tons of deadweight.

In October of 2014, Canpotex announced plans to invest up to US $140 million in new equipment and infrastructure to improve the efficiency of its shiploading facilities at PBT. These investments will help Canpotex continue to improve service to its customers around the world and enhance PBT’s ability to handle specialized potash products, such as white potash.
